Why does the attached image in a post not appear when I view them. They used to before.
Yo!
All working here ok. Do you mean preview? That never worked AFAIK.
No attached images when I am reading the threads. Just looked at the two threads ' I am preparing two surprises for you' and 'Total Humor' and I do not see any attached images, even the one's I posted !!! doh

me neither
also can see them with internet explorer
Changed browser to Mozilla Firefox and still can not see any attached images. All I get is a long horizonal box with the words attached image.
I thought about this and wondered whether the option to 'show images' has been turned off under UserCP/Options somehow?
Even if it is ticked, I suggest unticking, ticking again and then saving the changes.
See if that works :)
when I switch off pictures check box, I get the picture ident link. If I click on link the picture appears.
When I switch it back on again, nothing appears most of the time. On very rare occasions a picture will appear. if I change pages then go back to that page, picture gone.
Happens with either browser.
Edit:/ complete rethink on my original post...
I am now wondering about some sort of security being the cause. Possibly a software firewall such as Norton. This and similar programs have options to stop ads/banners/pop-ups etc and may be stopping your attachments. Try disabling any firewalls as a test.
Along similar lines you could check your browsers and general internet security settings.
At last have found the problem, its the McAFEE Privicity software which was blocking the images, turn it off and they appear. Even though I had given perrmission for the site and the board, Need to dig deeper into setup to see how to get around it. Thanks Nic, Felix. :thankyou
I only put the Privicity software on for a trial basis. Think I am going cra.......... :crazy hammersmas
Yay! Got there eventually. I don't run any but I am pretty certain it will be to do with ad blocking. Make sure it is the board.mashasworld.com that you put in the exclusions (note the 's')

ahhhh, the privacy software, it might be a good thing to use it, but in the end they are really cumbrous most of the time ;)
yep, especially the "big" names as Mcaffee or Norton!
