....Kournikova. Since this is russian-related, I just thought I'd let everyone know I got to meet her Monday evening. REALLY nice girl, and alot "smaller" overall than I thought she was from seeing photos. I took some photos and got an autograph. When I get them developed I'll post a couple here. Enrique is one lucky guy! roll

Anna Kournikova (née Anya Kournikova) was born on June 7, 1981, in Moscow, Russia, to Sergei and Alla. Her father, a lecturer at the sports university in Moscow and a part-time tennis coach, and mother, did not encourage Anna to play tennis for the fame, but rather for the health benefits of the sport.

quote

"I'm beautiful, famous and gorgeous."

Why is she in TX, USA?

It was for a charity fund raiser. Her and several other pro tennis players were there. I should have some pics by the weekend.

That autograph is left from my meeting with her... but can i really say i met her? I was standing there and watched her training and plays, that was 2 years after another at the tournament in Leipzig. I was young and stupid... don't know what I should do with autograph from her these days ;) And now I can say she is not that sympathic and nice as i thought she is when i was a teenager... And her mom is really strange :D

The pics i took are all unsharp, sorry
Felix

i'm sorry to hear your experience was not that well, i guess? why do you not think she is sympathetic and nice now? there were 6 players i saw that night and of all of them, she was the one that was staying the longest time afterwards signing autographs for tons of people until someone else finally told her that she had to leave. she even started walking away earlier and some girls called her and she turned around and came back a few more minutes to sign more things. i didn't have a long conversation with her but i did get a feeling of her personality since all the players had mic's in the matches and i could hear her talking and joking around about things. she played twice so it was about 30 minutes of talking. it was all just for fun to raise money for the tsunami victims so the players were being really cool. i think just the fact she showed up for something like that, and didn't get paid anything for being there really makes her pretty special. i know not everyone will feel the same and i really didn't know what to expect since i hadn't met her before that night, but i have nothing bad to say about her because all i know is that when everyone else had left the court, she was still out there talking to fans and signing things. and in my book that's a really cool thing to do when she didn't have to do that. roll

RD: post the pics!!! I will not be offended by that! I must say that "Kourni" reaches my 'basic instincts', and if u found out that she has a good character- the better! She deserves my respect like she struggled in vain to win a tournament for such a long time. That there was her mother behind her to push her in a kind of "rape": she is ot the only one in the circus: see Hingis- Mother, Graf-Father...
I see no use to compare our super-pleasant MW-ladies with a tennis-girl- that might only be an opportunity to do some "fishing for compliments! I simply lay back in seat & enjoy ALL the beauty our world is presenting us!
Who said "life is too short..."?
I m looking forward to meet u in chat soon!

When I saw her she was nice, no problem... :)
And the signed pic... well, you can buy those at ebay too :D

Felix

So she was nice to you but you were saying that she wasn't? I'm confused now. Or do you just mean you've read things about her since then that would make you think she wasn't nice anymore? And I know you can buy photos of her on e-bay if you want to pay alot. lol They were selling some there for $80 but I got mine for the cost of just the photo which was ALOT less. lol I don't like buying things already signed. Even if they're real I like getting it done myself.

I will once I have them. I still haven't developed the film yet. (I didn't use a digital camera). I was planning to today but am going to watch the superbowl soon so probably will be this week sometime. I never said anyone would be offended either...what are you talking about? lol They aren't photos that would offend anyone, just of her playing tennis.

I guess you already met him ;)

No I wasn't there yesterday. Was there someone else using my name? I saw one before but it put a 2 after his name but that was because i was in there also then. I haven't been in any chats since over a week so if anyone saw my name, that wasn't me.

fex

Thanks! Yes that's McEnroe. I have more of him too if you want to see. hehe I just didn't think anyone would be that interested in him. I also have a few of Andy Roddick, Chris Evert (used to be Chris Evert Lloyd), and Dr. Phil playing tennis. (he's actually pretty good too!)
