Hmmm maybe its coincidence, but some one told me in the chat room, that people can hoover these boards for email addy's. But last few days ive been getting spam mails that are passin my filter.
O'well if u guys dont know about it, im sure its me being paranoid !!

I can tell you, we don't email our board members. ALso the public email function is OFF. Maybe you posted your email public on this board or other boards?

BTW we get around 700 spams/virusses a day, and this week is a "busy" week, a lot of cheap software emails.

Of course I use a Hotmail email and not my primary email on the boards and sign in info,. but I've been a member since July of last year and I very rarely get any junk mail to this account .... yet ;) I'm sure one day it'll happan and I will have to change it, oh well, that's life.

I haven't gotten any either. I think its just a coincidence. The only time I get any mail from this board at all is just letting me know a new reply was made to a thread I posted in, but I have my account set up to do that.

and the new one i have been using pretty much spam free for a year and never used to sign up or buy before, now its getting lots of porno spam every day, thats gettin passed my hotmail filter!

Diz are u bein nawty boy with database? next time i will open total new addy to find out for sure

Interesting theory, I must look into this myself.

I too get a lot of porn Spam and other Russian Language 'something else' spam, but I never sat down and thought about how it got me on their mailing lists, until now ;)
My policy of just hitting 'This is Spam' on Outlook's Norton plugin maybe made me too lazy to think much about it before, thanks for giving me another prospective Columbo :D

I think it depends on who hosts your email and how good their spam filtering is. My Gmail account gets very few spam emails (1 or 2 a month). My Yahoo account gets buried (100-150/week) by euro spam of all types, not just sex spam, even though I have spam filtering set. I have never used my Yahoo account to buy anything. The spam started within a few days of creating the account. :mad:

I hear what ur saying, ive had the hotmail account for over a year without ANY porn spam getting into my inbox.. but now after i used it for here this month, im getting porn spam in my inbox every day.

I notice the same when i started this thread with my old email that also was porn spam free.. i dont mean spam for Diz sites, just porn spam.....

I have had to close a couple of email accounts that I have with my ISPs as these were getting up to 3 spam mails a day. When I now give out my email address I have some other email addresses I can use until I am satisfied my address has not been added to a spam mailing list. If it does I can trace who has sold it or had their database hacked into.

Its the odd one that gets thu that i think come from these(Diz) sites, before i had NONE get thu my filter....
It's wrong and uncarng and very disrespectful for sites to do this, and very ironic the very same sites ask for respect in return!

I get spam that has Ivanafukalot.com in it regularly and I am a member of the site. There has to be a leak somewhere. Hawley, send Diz the header information from the spam messages so he can trace where the leak might be. The best way to stop spam is for the owners of the sites shown in the spam email, like Diz, to agressively go after the sources if they really don't want this type of advertisement.

I was once blitzed by email from an American university and when I sent them the header info, they found that a site in Poland had aliased their address to disguise the source. This might also be the case here as well.

Lucky my ISP provides disposable e-mail addresses which I now use to sign up with.
If spam starts on them, I just dispose and open a new one.
Keep one address free by not using it to sign up for anything and use Norton 2007 plug in to block any that get through on the others and delete it when this occurs too often.

This is not CCBill business, this is so giant company, I know the owner and all directors of this company very well and we cooperated a lot in hunting spammers and other illegal activities. Its like you say your bank sells your addresses to other companies. There are many ways for spammers to get email addresses specially on Windows system.

I regard CCBill well also, so much so in fact, if I not see they are payment company for a site I rarely decide to join it. I have had bad experiences with other payment companies but never with CCBill.

But I have no doubt that if you do not use SEX sites as pointed out above then your e-mail will remain spam free.
However there must be zillions of ways these assholes can get at you once you start clicking on adult sites.

Not true. I created a new account on Yahoo.com and did not use it for purchases, reply to any emails, or for that matter, did not send any messages. The only email I opened was the welcome message from Yahoo. Within the first week I started to get spam on it, most of the sexual type. After a month I had the account deleted because I was getting, on average, 40 spams a day to it. I've had similar experiences with hotmail.com although it took a few weeks for the spam to start.

I think part is how good the ISP is at keeping its member email addresses secure, but I also think there are crawlers out there that look for any weakness in a system and exploit it to mine email addresses. You can never be sure how your email address get distributed.

I do know one thing you NEVER do is reply back on one of the emails to request you be taken off their mailing list, because, by law they have to remove theirs, but you give them a valid address to sell to their buddies and your spam increases 10 fold. doh

Here is more prof of e-mails being spammed after joining or cancelling your site’s.
After you banned me for bring this to light, I thought I would just make sure my facts were right, so with my “4th” never before porn spammed e-mail I joined MW.

As you can see I opened this e-mail on the 15th of Nov, this is the time I went to Vegas and wanted to post pics on forum. I have never really used this e-mail after, and I have never deleted any e-mails from it, even the waste if time hotmail member spam mails are still there.

So on the 26th May I joind mashasworld, and on the 29th of May I Cancelled in less than two weeks I am now getting porn spam for the 1st time on this addy!!!

If “not” spamming is your golden rule, and the fact McAfee warn about spam on your sites is wrong. You should want to look in to this and find where the leak is.
But my guess your just happy to ban the messenger, and hope Geode sticks his brown nose deeper in your butt, and it will blow over.

Don’t worry about me coming back, I find your forum boring and chilldish, I just wanted you to see the facts, that I already knew.

What kind of proof is that? Do you want me to show you my mailbox screenshoot? Do you spam our emails after you joined our sites?

I have explained you already many times we dont have any connection to spam and we never sent any single spam, this is not our business, we focus on girls on products on members or partners,whatever but not the spam. McAffe test doesnt test if we spam or no. Usually companies which spam are working in very different way, you would never enjoy the sites so much if we were spammers. This is completely different type of business and I am really sorry I am working in the industry with so much fucked up companies which spam, steal and create tricks which are misleading and rip people off, but claiming like you do that we are on the same level is pissing me off, you are banned for many things you have said about me and about some of our members, get OUT already.

I am getting about 300k emails a monh like this, we try to block some but we cant block too much becasue we may loose important emails. This is indeed very annoying but it happens for years, no one give a fuck about it already.
