I suggest:

1) Masha's place
2) Tanya's place
3) Tina's place

Not Lana's, she still lives at her parents place...

(just kidding offcourse, vist The Kremlin i guess, and St P!)

Jeff

Never been to Moscow but what i find works well is to get a taxi driver and book him as a private chaufer for one day . and get him to take you to all the places of interest. During that time decide where you would like to go for the next day or two.

Also speak with the girls they may know a tour guide who you could hire who can do the samejob.

Fex idea of either Rough Guide or Lonely planet is also excellent, they have must see pages.

Other ways are to speak to the conseirge if you are staying ion a hotel they are good to

Have a Great trip

I'm going to Moscow Feb 2, I know it's the middle of the winter, but it looks like it's warmer there than where I am now.

And I've found the greatest personal tour guide anywhere, sorry I'm not sharing either ;)

I have visited Moscow and some of the places to see are:

Red Square and St Basils Cathedral

Go inside the Kremlin and take the tour. A must see place. takes 3-5 hours to see it all.

Visit Lenin's tomb in Red square if its still there.

Take a trip on the Metro and visit some of the stations, they are like palaces under ground. Stations like Komsomolskaya. Must see.

Drive around the city centre.

Gum, old style offical shopping area opposite Red square. (New shopping malls now opened.)

Walk Red square in the evening and surrounding areas.

There are too many other churches, museums, gallereies plus nite clubs etc to list. You need a good guide to find what takes your interest.

Things have improved greatly since I was there 8 years ago. Go, enjoy and take in the atmosphere. take lots of money (american dollars were preferred by the street traders, take lots of small denonimation bills, 1, 5 10's .) Be aware and take care.

A city I must re-visit again very soon. Very enjoyable.
