Sorry that I missed the chat about the 1st part of my signature line, I would've been interested in the chat about it... also sorry that Lana is going on Holiday & may miss this post.

My bf said this verbatim while I was at work & the line worked for him, this is in its entirity:

"A friend loves you, of course; but one who loves you is not in every case your friend. Friendship, accordingly, is always helpful, but love sometimes even does harm. Therefore; friends maybe lovers, but lovers seldom can be friends." (Qui amicis est, amat; qui amat, non utique amicus est. Itaque amicita semper prodest, amor aliquando etiam nocet.) by Seneca, Ad Lucilium, Epis xxxv, sec. 1 (c.a.d. 64)

That's how a 48 year old guy lands a 24 year old :thumbsup

As for the other part... I hate the word "pussy" grrrrrr , so when someone asks to see it..."Cat, what cat, I don't see no stinkin' cat..." peace

Wow Jess, now I see your 'other side' :D

I am sure the linguistic Lana will be impressed by the source of your coach's quote.

But now the words tits, ass and pussy are making the shows a dangerous place to hang out as the verbal put downs make us all have to DUCK for cover. :banana

I remember this "friends/lovers" stuff from the german issue of the movie "Harry & Sally"
quotes mustn t always be well translated, as I know from "Casablanca"; there is a scene in which Humphrey says "schau mir in die Augen, Kleines"- means: "look in my eyes, little lady" (on an airport, I guess); but Hump was SMALLER than Ingrid Bergmann
(it is said that they dug a hole for her...) I researched in a "movie-quote-book": the quote wasn t in!! They dug a hole for the german version???
Jessika: ur the 1st girl being caught by the "latin trap" I ever heard of!!!
There is hope for the 48 s...

Or maybe, your figure is so flattering I feel myself getting rather erm... elated... (??)

Hang on I've got it, seeing your innocent, angelic figure makes my heart quicken and my loins feel fruity.... (???)

AH Heck!! At the risk of being one of those 'guys', you have a great arse Jessika!!! :fire :D

Yeah ok maybe it's best if I just shutup for a while doh :(

"Loins feel fruity", come on now, you UK guys don't really talk like that... I'm afraid of what the Vikings may say. roll  doh

However, your attempt to be polite is greatly appreciated. :thumbsup

Is it an arse, or is it a butt, afterall this is MW.

As for your comment :thankyou

and I am still sweet & innocent ;)

Now I had to do the chick thing & rent this movie & force my bf to watch it with me, because I never heard anything like that line before.
We didn't hear anything like it in the US version & Coach denies he got it from that movie.
Well actually, he admits that he used that line years b4 the movie came out. :) If you find anything more about it, let me know.

And to the person who emailed me & asked me for a front view boobies (not you Ora), its not that I'm :shy , but the way u asked won't get u anything at all...

By the way, I blocked u after I sent u the reply regarding your tiny mind & manhood. madbam madbam madbam madbam madbam inmadwaygf

Cheers to the adults out there. :beer

Educational to learn what clicks the minds of you under 30 year olds. ;)

Wow, am glad I just made do with the view provided. :D

There are some very immature persons on this site, they must have 'borrowed' their parent's credit cards to gain admittance, or else they are very low IQ adults. roll

Hmmm i wonder who asked for front view????

Maybe if they look on the internet for pics that are 10 years old they might find one;)

Jessika: u seem to be a sovereign 24 yr old lady- respect! & sooo virtous on the smilies...
besides: how come an american speaks "seneca-ian"?
best regards!!
Hawl: u maybe remember elfie? was that guy looking for his (its??) first frontsides...
do I see some irony in ur words?? "10 yrs old..."

6 months ago, all u could get from me was the inside of a greeting card.

I met someone who has expanded my knowledge base outside of MTV, & have enjoyed it.

I'm pretty sure he's 100% American. Have enjoyed my banter with "youse" (just tying to be more "American", I'm sure you understand).

I was hoping you could've given me an answer from your movie research on the line, I was unsuccessful in finding it.

{NOTE: This post is "smile" free as to not offend anyone.}

ummm... Ora,

that was meant as a JOKE.

Heya Jessy-Kah!
Sorry: I might have been cited the movie not quite correct! title: when harry met Sally with billy crystal + meg ryan 1989. crystal s point was not exactly senecaian: women & men can t be friends cause sex always comes in between...
my biggest fault of my life is, that I try to VERIFY this theory for a too long time up to now... better to falsify???
yours sincerely

Arrgh, same movie... thought I was going to catch my bf stealing THE line that made me come over for coffee & stayed!
Don't waste the time trying to verify the theory, girls have friends (develop friendships) that don't turn into sex. Guys just dont seem to able to do that.
My gf's r my friends, I dont think of doing them even though they r hot, thats why I hang with u guys here.
My hook ups in the past never turn into friendships, it just seems uneasy when we hang out.

Sometimes a terrible place to be: the "friends zone" ..... ;)

Most hated lines by guys: We still can be friends..... scrredd
or: i like you as my brother

:D turnass :D

on my side what really suxx is having a guy who I really like & know he wants more that I'm willing/interested to give & when they find out, ur not worth the bother...
the female side of the 'friends zone"

whole reason of the quote that started this thread is the fallacy of "We can still be friends..."

Hehehehe :D

No worries, i do have female friends, real good ones to, and i dont want sex with them, but if they want it....... :D
